About Us
Our goal is simple: bring Ohio sports together under one roof and make it easier for fans to follow the teams, athletes, and communities they care about.
At the same time, we wanted to build a website that respects its readers. That means no intrusive advertising, no pop-ups, no mailing lists, and no unnecessary friction standing between you and the content. We believe great sports journalism should be easy to access, easy to read, and focused on what matters most: the stories themselves.
Ohio Sports Hub was founded and built by Ohio sports fans who grew up loving sports and following Ohio teams. For us, sports are very geographical and we take pride when Ohio wins. Like many fans, we've spent years reading sports websites, listening to sports radio, checking scores, following breaking news, and debating everything from coaching decisions to championship predictions.
But, if you're anything like us, you may have noticed that keeping up with Ohio sports often meant bouncing between multiple websites just to stay informed. One site had the scores. Another focused on recruiting. Another covered rumors. Yet another offered schedules or analysis. It felt fragmented, and we believed there had to be a better way.
Ohio Sports Hub was created to be the kind of website we wanted to visit ourselves: fast, straightforward, informative, and centered on the reader experience. Our goal isn't to become the loudest voice in sports media. It's to become one of the most trusted.
One of the ways we hope to achieve that is by inviting Ohio sports fans to help us tell those stories.
Some of the best sports conversations don't happen in newsrooms—they happen in living rooms, at tailgates, in high school bleachers, and around the dinner table. We believe there are talented writers all across Ohio with stories worth telling, and we want to give them an opportunity to share those stories with fellow fans.
Through our Fan Contributor program, readers can submit game recaps, opinion columns, feature stories, recruiting news, and other original content for editorial review. Every submission is evaluated by our editorial staff, and selected articles may be published after editing for clarity, style, accuracy, and consistency with our editorial standards.
Whether you're an experienced writer, a college journalism student building your portfolio, or simply a passionate fan with a story to tell, we'd love to hear from you. Great sports journalism doesn't have to come exclusively from professional reporters. Sometimes, the best stories come from the people who live them.
