BLOOMINGTON — Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin has reportedly gone to the locker room with an apparent right arm injury after taking a hard sack during the fourth quarter against Indiana.
With 8:05 remaining, Sayin was sacked by Indiana's M. Landino for an 18-yard loss on first-and-10 from the Hoosiers' 38-yard line. Sayin fumbled on the play, but Ohio State offensive tackle Phillip Daniels recovered the football at the Buckeyes' 44-yard line.
Sayin's departure raises immediate concerns for Ohio State, which is trying to protect its lead in a critical Big Ten matchup. The extent of the injury and his availability for the remainder of the game have not been confirmed.
The Buckeyes will await further information on the status of their starting quarterback.
