COLUMBUS — Ohio State has already shown it can win in different ways this season. Now the Buckeyes are turning their attention toward becoming the best version of themselves.
No. 5 Ohio State returns to Ohio Stadium on Saturday to host Maryland at 4:15 p.m. ET. The Buckeyes enter at 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the Big Ten after beating No. 14 Iowa, 31-14, last weekend at Kinnick Stadium.
Maryland comes to Columbus at 2-3 and 0-2 in conference play after dropping three straight games. Ohio State has won all nine previous meetings between the programs and will be a heavy favorite again Saturday, but Ryan Day has spent the week emphasizing the need for his team to continue improving rather than looking at the matchup on paper.
That message carries into Ohio State’s latest official game trailer.
The video centers on the idea of the Buckeyes continuing to develop into the team they believe they can become. Day’s message is straightforward: Ohio State is still working toward its ceiling, and he believes that ceiling is higher than what the Buckeyes have shown through five games.
The latest trailer sets the tone for what Ohio State wants from the afternoon: another win, but also another step toward the version of the Buckeyes Day believes can contend deep into the season:
