BLOOMINGTON — Ohio State wasted little time getting on the scoreboard Saturday afternoon, taking a 3-0 lead over No. 5 Indiana with a field goal on its opening possession.
The fourth-ranked Buckeyes entered the matchup looking to avenge last season's 13-10 Big Ten Championship Game loss to the Hoosiers. Getting points on their first drive is an encouraging start for Julian Sayin and the Ohio State offense against an Indiana defense that entered the game with 20 sacks through six games.
The Buckeyes will need to turn drives into touchdowns as the game progresses, but taking an early lead on the road against the defending national champions is a good start.
