Ohio State Football Recruiting: 5-Star OT Caden Moss Commits to Buckeyes

Big get for Tyler Bowen and staff

COLUMBUS — After sitting atop Ohio State’s recruiting board for months, blue-chip offensive lineman Caden Moss officially pledged his commitment to the Buckeyes on Friday night.

The towering 6-foot-5, 320-pound tackle out of Jackson Academy in Mississippi chose Ohio State over finalists that included Ole Miss, LSU, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Oregon. Moss' commitment marks a massive recruiting victory for offensive line coach and run game coordinator Tyler Bowen, who has built what could be a dominant wall in the trenches for this recruiting cycle. Moss becomes the sixth offensive line addition to the Buckeyes' 2027 class which includes four-star prospects Kellen Wymer, Brody McNeel, and Jimmy Kalis, alongside in-state standouts Mason Wilt and Davis Seaman.

Moss is ESPN’s No. 15 in the SC Next 300 and is their No. 4 offensive tackle for the 2027 cycle, making him the highest-rated offensive lineman to commit to the Buckeyes in the Tyler Bowen era.
