COLUMBUS — Ohio State added another elite playmaker to its already impressive 2027 recruiting class Wednesday as 5-star wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt announced his commitment to the Buckeyes.

The 6-foot-2 standout from Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, chose Ohio State over Oregon, Texas and USC, giving wide receivers coach Brian Hartline yet another blue-chip prospect to develop. Dixon-Wyatt is widely regarded as one of the nation's top receivers and one of California's premier recruits.

Known for his polished route running, reliable hands and ability to create separation, Dixon-Wyatt fits the mold of the receivers Hartline has consistently turned into NFL talent. His commitment further strengthens Ohio State's reputation as one of college football's premier destinations for elite wide receivers.

Dixon-Wyatt's pledge also continues a remarkable stretch on the recruiting trail for Ryan Day and his staff. Combined with recent commitments from five-star defensive end Luke Wafle and defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou, the Buckeyes continue adding elite talent on both sides of the football while building one of the nation's top-ranked recruiting classes.

For Ohio State, the commitment represents more than simply adding another highly rated prospect. It reinforces the program's ability to recruit nationally and continue attracting some of the country's best players regardless of position.
