COLUMBUS — Ohio State continued its winning ways Saturday, defeating Maryland 45-16 at Ohio Stadium to improve to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in Big Ten play. Now, the Buckeyes are giving fans another opportunity to revisit their Homecoming victory.
Ohio State released its latest cinematic game recap following a performance that featured plenty of offensive highlights, a strong defensive showing, and a few mistakes head coach Ryan Day would undoubtedly prefer to forget.
Quarterback Julian Sayin threw for 242 yards and four touchdowns, including two scoring connections with Jeremiah Smith. The junior receiver finished with 93 yards and two touchdowns, while tight end Nate Roberts delivered one of the afternoon's biggest plays on a 68-yard touchdown reception, which was the longest touchdown reception for a tight end in Ohio State history.
The Buckeyes also received another productive performance from their running game. Bo Jackson rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns, while Ja'Kobi Jackson added 76 yards. Defensively, Ohio State limited Maryland to 64 passing yards and 82 rushing yards.
The victory sets up one of Ohio State's biggest games of the season. The fourth-ranked Buckeyes travel to Bloomington on Saturday to face No. 5 Indiana in a rematch of last year's Big Ten Championship Game, which the Hoosiers won 13-10.
