MILWAUKEE — The Cleveland Cavaliers will look to bounce back from a disappointing loss to Atlanta when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night at Fiserv Forum. Cleveland enters the matchup at 3-2 after having its three-game winning streak snapped Thursday, while Milwaukee has struggled to a 1-4 start.
The Cavaliers appeared headed toward another victory Thursday, building a 15-point lead against the Hawks before their offense fell apart in the second quarter. Atlanta used a 19-2 run to take control and eventually held off Cleveland for a 114-111 victory.
James Harden led the Cavaliers with 24 points, while Donovan Mitchell added 22. Cleveland had two opportunities to tie the game on its final possession, but Mitchell missed both three-point attempts as the Hawks escaped with the win.
Saturday is a chance for Cleveland to pick up its first road victory of the season. The Cavaliers are 0-2 away from home, while Milwaukee has struggled defensively, allowing at least 127 points in four of its first five games.
The Bucks traded two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo to Miami during the offseason, receiving Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., and several other players and draft assets in return. Milwaukee has struggled under new head coach Taylor Jenkins, losing four of its first five games, which is to be expected when you trade away a player like Antetokounmpo.
The Bucks are coming off an ugly performance Wednesday, falling 132-100 at home to Houston. Herro scored 23 points, and Jaquez added 19, but Milwaukee had few answers for the Rockets on either end of the floor.
Herro has been Milwaukee's leading scorer, averaging 23.4 points per game, while Jaquez has contributed 17.8 points and 7.2 rebounds. Both have played well individually, but the Bucks have struggled to find consistency as a team.
For Cleveland, Mitchell continues to lead the offense with 24.2 points per game, while Evan Mobley is averaging 18.2 points and 8.8 rebounds. Harden has added 17.4 points and 6.2 assists per contest, giving the Cavaliers another experienced playmaker alongside Mitchell.
Cleveland will also be monitoring its injury situation. Rookie Meleek Thomas is questionable with right foot soreness after missing Thursday's game, while Jaylon Tyson, Nae'Qwan Tomlin, and Khalifa Diop have been ruled out. Thomas scored 16 points in his NBA debut against Minnesota on Monday and has provided an early spark off the bench, and was probably the missing piece in the loss against Atlanta.
The Cavaliers won three of four meetings with Milwaukee last season, including a 123-116 victory at Fiserv Forum in March. Cleveland will look to continue that success Saturday before returning home to face Oklahoma City on Monday.

Prediction
Milwaukee is still finding its footing with a new roster and coaching staff, and Cleveland should have the advantage in both talent and experience. The Cavaliers have not played a complete game yet this season, but Saturday looks like an opportunity to get their first road win and regain some momentum.
