CINCINNATI — Mike Gesicki returned to familiar territory Sunday when the Cincinnati Bengals traveled to Miami to face the Dolphins, and the veteran tight end made his presence felt almost immediately. Now, the Bengals are giving fans a closer look at his afternoon in their latest mic'd-up feature.
Cincinnati released “Mike Gesicki Mic'd Up for Week 5 Against Dolphins,” featuring the veteran during Sunday's 31-24 victory at Hard Rock Stadium. The win improved Cincinnati to 3-2 heading into its bye week and provided Gesicki with an opportunity to celebrate a victory against the franchise where he spent the first five seasons of his NFL career.
Gesicki wasted little time making an impact. After Dohnte Meyers returned the opening kickoff 81 yards, Joe Burrow connected with the tight end for a four-yard touchdown on Cincinnati's first offensive play. It was Gesicki's fourth touchdown reception of the season and helped the Bengals establish an early advantage.
Although Gesicki finished with just one reception for four yards, his touchdown was one of four thrown by Burrow, who also connected with Samaje Perine, Tanner Hudson, and Ja'Marr Chase. Cincinnati built a 28-10 lead in the third quarter before holding off a late Miami comeback.
The matchup carried some personal significance for Gesicki, who entered the NFL as a second-round selection by the Dolphins in 2018. After five seasons in Miami and a year in New England, he joined Cincinnati in 2024 and has become a familiar target in Burrow's offense.
The Bengals' latest mic'd-up video offers fans another perspective on Gesicki during a memorable return to his former home stadium. Watch the video below:
