CLEVELAND — Another week, another dramatic Browns victory, and another reason for Todd Monken and his players to celebrate in the locker room.
Cleveland rallied from a 10-point deficit Sunday afternoon to defeat the Baltimore Ravens, 13-10, on Andre Szmyt's 37-yard field goal with no time remaining on the clock. The victory improved the Browns to 4-2 and moved them into first place in the AFC North.
It wasn't pretty, particularly on offense. Cleveland managed just 46 yards in the first half, but the defense held Baltimore scoreless over the final three quarters, giving the Browns enough time to find their way back into the game.
Carson Schwesinger's forced fumble in the fourth quarter helped set up Audric Estime's game-tying touchdown, and Deshaun Watson connected with Jerry Jeudy for a 33-yard gain on the winning drive. Szmyt eventually delivered the winner on an untimed down following a Baltimore penalty.
Afterward, Monken addressed his team in the locker room, celebrating another hard-fought victory over a division rival. The Browns have now won four games this season, all requiring fourth-quarter game-winning drives.
For a team that has struggled offensively but continues to find ways to win, Sunday's celebration was another reminder of how important its defense has become. And with Cleveland sitting atop the AFC North after six games, Monken and his players have plenty of reasons to enjoy this one:
