CLEVELAND — The Browns are starting to make a habit out of winning games the hard way.
One week after rallying past Tampa Bay, Cleveland needed another fourth-quarter comeback Sunday to defeat Carolina 21-18 at Huntington Bank Field. Deshaun Watson found Harold Fannin Jr. for a 14-yard touchdown with 1:48 remaining, then connected with Denzel Boston on the two-point conversion to give the Browns the lead for good.
The defense finished the job. Mason Graham sacked Bryce Young on Carolina’s final possession before Ronnie Hickman intercepted him with 16 seconds remaining, sealing Cleveland’s second consecutive victory and improving the Browns to 2-1.
Afterward, head coach Todd Monken addressed the team in the locker room as Cleveland celebrated another big win:
The Browns now have a short week before hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night at Huntington Bank Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET.
