CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bengals had plenty to celebrate Sunday afternoon after turning a nightmare first half into one of their most impressive victories of the season.
Trailing Baltimore 13-0 at halftime, the Bengals came out of the locker room and scored 35 unanswered points to defeat the Ravens, 35-13. Joe Burrow threw four second-half touchdown passes, while Cincinnati's defense shut out Baltimore over the final 30 minutes.
The turnaround was remarkable. Burrow completed just six of 12 passes for 43 yards in the first half, then went 16-of-18 for 249 yards and four touchdowns after halftime. Cincinnati scored touchdowns on all five of its second-half possessions.
Following the victory, head coach Zac Taylor addressed his players in the locker room, praising the team's response after its difficult start. He highlighted the performances of Burrow, Tee Higgins, and Ja'Marr Chase, who delivered an emotional halftime speech that helped spark the comeback.
The victory also carried a personal milestone for Taylor, who earned his 56th regular-season win as Cincinnati's head coach, passing franchise founder Paul Brown on the Bengals' all-time coaching wins list:
