CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bengals delivered one of the most remarkable turnarounds of their season Sunday, overcoming a nightmare first half to defeat the Baltimore Ravens, 35-13, at M&T Bank Stadium.
Cincinnati entered halftime trailing 13-0 after an offense that couldn't get anything going managed just 43 passing yards from Joe Burrow. The Bengals looked nothing like the team that would eventually take control of the game.
That changed dramatically after halftime, thanks in large part to a fiery halftime speech by Ja'Marr Chase. Burrow threw four touchdown passes as Cincinnati scored 35 unanswered points, turning a frustrating afternoon into an impressive AFC North victory.
Tee Higgins played a major role in the comeback, finishing with six receptions for 148 yards. His 13-yard touchdown reception gave Cincinnati a 14-13 lead in the third quarter, while Burrow also found Mike Gesicki, Ja'Marr Chase, and Drew Sample for scores during the second-half surge.
The Bengals showed just how quickly their offense can take over when Burrow has time to throw and his receivers begin making plays.
