BEREA — The Cleveland Browns received encouraging injury news Saturday, activating running back Dylan Sampson from injured reserve and announcing that safety Grant Delpit has cleared concussion protocol. Neither player carries an injury designation ahead of Sunday's road game against the Tennessee Titans.
Sampson has been sidelined since suffering a knee injury on a kickoff return during the first quarter of Cleveland's season-opening loss to Jacksonville on September 13. The second-year running back was placed on injured reserve two days later and returned to practice October 14.
A fourth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Sampson has appeared in 16 career games, rushing for 175 yards while adding 33 receptions for 271 yards and two touchdowns. His return provides additional depth behind Quinshon Judkins, who is also expected back Sunday after missing last week's victory over Baltimore with an ankle injury.
Delpit's return is another boost for Cleveland's defense. The veteran safety was evaluated for a concussion during the first quarter of last Sunday's 13-10 victory over the Ravens and missed the remainder of the game. He returned to limited practice Thursday and Friday before clearing the league's concussion protocol Saturday.
The Browns also announced two additional roster moves. Offensive guard Teven Jenkins was placed on injured reserve because of a back injury that has kept him sidelined throughout the season, while defensive tackle Sam Kamara was elevated from the practice squad.
Kamara has appeared in 28 career NFL games, including 19 with Cleveland since 2022. His elevation adds defensive line depth with Mike Hall Jr. and Kalia Davis ruled out against Tennessee.
Cleveland still has some injury questions heading into Sunday. Cornerback Denzel Ward is questionable with a hand injury, while linebacker Quincy Williams is questionable because of a neck injury. Both players' availability will be determined closer to kickoff.
The Browns (4-2) enter Sunday's matchup atop the AFC North following their comeback victory over Baltimore. Tennessee (1-5) is coming off its first victory of the season, making this an opportunity for Cleveland to strengthen its position in the division standings.
Sunday's game kicks off at 1 p.m. ET at Nissan Stadium in Nashville and will be televised on CBS.
